It’s the little things that have the most significant impact on how we feel about ourselves and our lives.
Getting a good nights sleep…
Having fresh flowers around the home…
Laughing at a friend’s joke…
These small, daily actions not only help us to feel more happy and relaxed, but they can also boost self esteem.
Appreciating the little joys is a gentle reminder that every day is a gift.
Unfortunately, instead of focusing on gratitude, many of us tend to highlight the negatives and get caught up worrying about what we DON’T have or what we wish we could change.
One way we might do this by comparing our life, body, or personality to other people — other women in particular. There are many reasons why this isn’t a healthy practice, the primary one being that whether it manifests as you judging them, or you judging you, someone is going to get devalued.
Comparing yourself to other people won’t boost self esteem, it won’t change how you feel about yourself, and it won’t help you to make the positive changes that you need to live a life that you love.
No matter how perfect someone else’s life or body may look from the outside, we all struggle with feeling insecure from time to time. And that’s why I would encourage you to help elevate other women by paying genuine compliments.
This simple strategy takes less than 30 seconds and will allow you to feel more confident and satisfied in yourself, as well as share those positive feelings with other women around you. Watch the video to learn how to do it.
Once you’ve had a chance to watch, I’d love to hear from you:
- What helps you feel more confident and boosts self esteem?
- What positive traits you have recently noticed in other women?

Here’s your video recap:
Go out and pay a genuine compliment to another woman (and remember that it doesn’t just have to be about appearance).
Then I’ll see you in the next video, where I’ll show you how to ditch the diets once and for all.
